Trip Overview
Run or trek a marathon along the picturesque Cotswold Way through rolling hills and honey-stone villages. This is marathon trekking at its most scenic — the Cotswold Way is one of England's National Trails, passing through some of the most quintessentially English landscape imaginable. The route follows the Cotswold escarpment with views across the Severn Vale, through ancient beech woodland, past Iron Age hill forts, and along village streets lined with limestone cottages. The terrain is rolling rather than mountainous, making this an achievable marathon for determined walkers.
Who is this for?
Marathon distance requires good endurance fitness. The terrain is relatively gentle with no extreme climbs, making this a good first marathon-distance walk. You should be comfortable walking 8+ hours.

"This was my first time cycling with Adventure Cafe; first time riding from London to Paris and my first time riding this sort of distance over 3 days. Lots of preparation had gone into this from AC prior to departing London."
