Trip Overview

Traverse the backbone of England through wild moorland and dramatic dales. The North Pennine Way takes you through one of England's most remote and beautiful landscapes — an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and UNESCO Global Geopark with vast skies, rare wildlife, and almost no other people. Over two days you'll cross high moorland plateaus, descend into hidden valleys, and walk alongside tumbling rivers. This is quintessential English mountain walking — exposed, wild, and deeply rewarding. Overnight accommodation in a local inn provides a warm welcome between the two days.

Who is this for?

Moderate

A challenging two-day trek for experienced walkers comfortable on exposed moorland. Good navigation skills and waterproof kit are essential. The remoteness is both the appeal and the challenge.

★★★★★

"This was my first time cycling with Adventure Cafe; first time riding from London to Paris and my first time riding this sort of distance over 3 days. Lots of preparation had gone into this from AC prior to departing London."
